Welcome!
There are some Trans Am/Firebird websites down under as well.
Are you on any?
A few members come and visit the states, and buy stuff to bring back, for themselves, and others like you.
If you need something, get in touch with them.
Nice car!

That would be cool cheers Scott!
Im lucky we dont have to convert them here even though you and i drive on THE CORRECT side of the road!!

I wait for the dirt to fly!

No actually ive driven left hookers in Spain and it is actually easier to drive on the " wrong side!"

Thank you so much for posting the Charger pics and info Scott, that is really cool.  I'd love to be able to see one in person.  I did get two weeks in Townsville, Queensland back in 1999 but I didn't see these Chargers then.

I hope to hear more from you about your cars!!

Hey guys, I have already talked to a few of you, but My name is Tony, reside in The AV of California
I have a 1980 T/A 305 with automatic transmission
The car sat for some time I have recently cleaned out all fluids switched them, replaced the transmission fluid pan seal, and started her up... Started up with a few runs, having some battery issues though.
Needs new interior and some engine work, because of the sit out its had, it was not taken car of for the 13 years it sat.
The car came to me when my father died when I was young and my mother Kept it for and now I am ready to start working on it. Its not to bad of shape, but still, the condition its in does not do it any justice and really look forward to getting the beaut a new look Heres the most recent pics I have- from this week

Welcome Tony, that is really special that your Mom kept the car for you all those years, I'm sure you will take great care of it given it's legacy. Good luck with your restoration, I'm sure you'll have fun doing it.

Tony, is that a factory sunroof?
Its a great looking car, im sorry that it came to you the way it did, but the fact that it has now come to you is truly special.
Good luck, i too have a "Bird" that means alot to me via its previous owner.

Not to sure on the sunroof, Im guessing it is, but I haven't seen many with a sunroof... its always been hard top or t tops.

Thats what i was thinking, i know of a BRITISH F+RD that they only made 200 of as a "trial run" to see if they were popular ( 1971 ), they didnt sell so F+RD dropped the idea and never did it in that line till the eighties.

I only know this because i had one!, but as for Trans ams etc im no expert.

No factory sunroofs...it is probably aftermarket (a dealer install is a slim possibility also).
