Title: Changing out a rear end from a 81 to a 77

Had to buy a donor car for my 77 SE. It came with the WS6 with 4 wheel disk brakes. I am going to use the rear differential on the 1977. I have purchased a new master cylinder and booster, proportion valve and new brake lines. I am having the gears replaced with 3:23's and of coarse, new rotors, calipers and pads else for it. Question, Any thing else I need to worry about or change out while its going in and the car is getting put back together?

As long as you bought WS6(rear disc) specific brake booster, master cylinder, and proportioning valve you should have all your bases covered.

OK -- long day here -- but I'm a little foggy -- you are sticking rear discs on a car that didn't have them before?  If so, don't forget that the brake pedal is different between disc and non-disc cars.  The brake actuator rod hole is in a slightly different spot. :-\

Yeah, I thought it would make for a more modern braking car. I am keeping the original in storage if I ever need to change it back. Is there any downside to making this change?
