I was flipping channels yesterday and I started watching "blue Thunder" the helicopter movie from 1983.  Low and behold(whose the guy from Jaws 1 and 2, (rob Schnieder???)  drives a 79-81 bandit style TA.  Thought I'd share, I always like seeing ta's in random movies.

That reminds me of a current commercial running (Rapsody??) where a kid's parents attempt to pick him up from school in their way out 80's garb and he's walking away fast ignoring them.

ill be pulling up to high school in my t/a blasting crew if i get dirty looks from some ricers they can see me on the track =P

I think its the music, you can drive up in your T/A and listen to something you know recent-ish, and people would like it, the problem is no one in High School likes crew anymore... assuming they've even heard of them.

ill be blasting AC/DC but they wont be able to hear it over my exhaust! lol. there's actually a couple of good cars at my school. there's an early 2nd gen. and a '74 El Camino. not to mention a few 3rd gen f-bodies.

The T/A used in Blue Thunder was a '81 Turbo SE with WS6. Note the bird on the fuel door and the optional 15X8 Snowflake wheels.
