Title: Trans Am art
Post by: ZachAttack77TA on May 04, 2010, 11:10:11 PM
Hey guys. Thought you might enjoy some Trans Am art. I used a digital editing software and my own photo skills to create some cool pictures. What do you guys think? Should I do more?

I think this is a great idea for a thread !
Zach those show some interesting artistic ability . My fav is the auto wrecker ,I really like that one .
I wish I had more time ,but when I get a chance I am going to try to think something that involves a little more work .
Heres as couple for now

I was trying to make this one look like a lightning strike hit the Marty and electrified the hood bird
(http://i69.photobucket.com/albums/i54/GMC_Guy/art9.jpg)

I found another way to do a sort of grey scale around the Marty ,I kinda like the effect
(http://i69.photobucket.com/albums/i54/GMC_Guy/art6.jpg)

Read a PS tutorial and did this Trans Am sketch
(http://i69.photobucket.com/albums/i54/GMC_Guy/sketch2.jpg)

Not sure if you would consider this Trans Am art or not ,but she just does something for me .Can't explain it really ?

Very rare to see an arora with a firebird in it,you pretty much have to visit Cher in northern Canada lol
(http://i69.photobucket.com/albums/i54/GMC_Guy/best2.jpg)

Ok I can't take any credit for this  ,as I found the background on google and just layered in the Hitmans T/A
Wish I had those skills

Nothing to major here ,I was just playing with filters
(http://i69.photobucket.com/albums/i54/GMC_Guy/art1.jpg)

Sure, just PM your e-mail and I can send you some 2500x2000 (approx) digital photos. Let me know if there's something unique you want. Send pics of your own TA or something too, that;d be sweet. Always happy to help a fellow enthusiast.

I've seen some posters people make and sell at shows where they take a pic of your car and then several smaller detail pics of unique things on the car like maybe a wheel, tail light, grill or gauges etc and have those smaller detail pics seamlessly blended in around the pic of the car itself. The smaller pics aren't just pics copied and pasted in. Well, they are pasted in but they fade out around the edges. Those are very cool but I ain't paying $80 for one. That did include the frame though.....whoo hoo.
If you guys could do this, you make bank. I'd go $30 or so on one. I just think $80 is a bit much.

This is a good idea. I could fund the Butler 505cid IAII block I want ;).

Here's a few more.

This is one of the first one's I ever did. It's a llittle bit like what 78ta is talking about, but not quite as elaborate. I'll see if I can make a better one.

That's very close the way they fade out but you couldn't see the edges of the smaller pics because they became transparent giving way to the main pic of the car. Very nice job though.

Dude,
I think you've got it!!!

The ones I have seen had those half density pics layered all around the car.

I was just thinking, you could even do this and offer digital delivery so that you wouldn't have to deal with printing or shipping larger poster sized pics. You could just provide the image to the customer and they could take that to their local photdeveloping place. Even if the customer's email couldn't handle a large file size, you could just pop it on a cd and ship that to them.

Just curious, how long did it take you to do the 2nd TATA pic with the hood bird in the back ground?

Well, about the whole night. I didn't charge Martin anything because I was experimenting myself with what I wanted to accomplish.

I really like the idea you had about doing these pics. I suppose if I got enough interest here on the forum I could start something up. With a little help, I think we could hash something out.

If you'd like, send me some pics of your TA and I'll see what I could come up with. I already have a general idea of what you're looking for. All I really need is:

1) High-res pictures (they make the final result much more clear)

2) Well-framed shots of several angles with minmum background clutter. If you follow Hitman's photo advice he has posted, you can't go wrong.

Is anyone else interested? Let me know. My email is plasticbumper@aol.com or you can send me a PM.

you know I never even thought about that, but they really would make for a kick @ss  t shirt . I may see if I can take my design to the local t shirt place and inquire as to whether or not they have the machine to do it with .
If they do I am going to get a few made just for the heck of it .
WIsh I had that machne that actually makes the transfers as it may have been economically viable to make some for sale ,although I think the cost of shipping would kill that idea
