Late model GTO seats

Has anyone put late model GTO seats in a 2nd gen. I drove a 05 GTO and the seats were pretty comfortable so I thought about putting them in my 79 but wasn't sure if they might be to wide to fit. Didn't know if anyone else thought about or put them in their car. :)
