heater hose
«

I want to put a cut off valve in my heater hose to stop the hot air coming into the cabin. Does anyone know what the inner dia. of a stock 1978 Trans Am with W72 heater hose is and what is a good cut off valve?
Thanks Robin

One's 3/4" and the other is 5/8". Should say on hose if not worn off.

That may help but isn't a full cure. Have headers? A/c box cracked?

All just smaller parts of larger issue. For what it's worth most heater valves don't fully close either, just restrict to a dribble, still allows coolant to circulate .

Thank you for the information. I live in Florida and a Black/Black Trans Am with T-Tops so the A/C needs all the help it can get.
