Hi. A friend of mine has a nice 1974 Trans Am with 455. The car is white.
It looks like someone put on a hood bird from a 1979 model. The bird looks jsut like it, going by this site
http://www.tran-zam.com/Spotters_Guide/SpottingbyYear/HoodBirds.html
The letters on the rear spoiler are the later Formula style I believe. No letters on the fenders.
We have no PHS documents on the car, so we dont know what the car was born with.
Anyhow, which decals would this car be fitted with to be correct to 1974 ?
Form what I understand the hood bird is the same from 74 - 78 right? Which writing should it have? looping, or German?
and more important, what colors would be "original" looking to this modelyear?

It would have the looping style letters and the 73-78 bird. White 74's would have blue decals originally.

Great, thank you. I guess it should say 455 on the shaker.
Apart from the hood bird, the Trans Am letters on the fenders and the rear spoiler, should it have any other writing or decals anywhere?
