1975 Trans Am bumper
« on: December 07, 2007, 10:58:32 PM »
Does the price seem a bit too high, or am I just paranoid?

There are still 4 days left.  And the last one sold for $536.

The one I have for sale is in identical shape as the one above.  I just hope they're not playing bid wars for fun.  I'd hate to have to relist it because of bad bidders.  Keep your fingers crossed.

What, is that bumper made of gold?  Is that bumper really that hard to find?

Well,
I know that the ends tear easily.
I don't really know anyone who fixes that type of rubber either.

I talked with the second highest bidder....He is on TAC looking for a 75' bumper.  I told him if the deal fell through on my buyer, I would get with him and work something out.
He said "For that kind of money, I'd rather carve one out of wood".    :o

I'm sorry.....I was wrong.  It was the third highest bidder I talked with.
When the bidding was coming to a close, about 10 minutes left, someone who just signed up on ebay (only been on ebay about 1 hour) started a bid war with the person who actually won it.  Made me wonder if it was a scam to get someone off the hook.  But it turned out the winner wanted it pretty bad.
I will feel alot better when payment is made and buyer is happy with the bumper.    ;)

Sold (4) 1975 Trans Am parts and one set of Hurst Hatch t-tops with frames.  Collected just over $1800.00 for all.  The Bumper was the most at $990.03 including shipping.
Here's another bumper for sale......looks like it could come close to the price I got for mine.

If the Home Owners Association allowed it, I'd open my own Trans Am salvage yard.  But the co-owner of this house says "If you do, I'm leaving."
Man, I'm gonna miss her.      ;D   :o
Just kidding.....I need her paychecks.     ;)
