Title: car woulnt start need some help

just got a new alternator put on so i can try to get the car running for a lil bit, and battery is fully charged, but it still woulnt start only thing i get is headlights come on and dash lights   but engine woulnt crank    maybe starter is bad?   im new to these cars so any help would be appreciated

its a 301 engine in an 80 firebird if it makes any difference

Did it start before the alternator change?
Did you change anything else?
Check your grounds under-hood?

Is the reverse lock-out linkage connected (under-hood) from column to transmission?
Try rotating the collar where steering column meets dash to make sure it is turned fully counter-clockwise
