Actually this is a relic from the day.... My father found it in a house he was clearing out. estate sold and new owner wanted previous owners belongings removed ( Estate Sale item).. Dad actually made me give him a dollar before he told me about the jacket.. just said give me a dollar... I kept asking what for?   He gave me the spill.. " Boy all the times I gave you money you cant give your old man a lousy dollar?... So I pulled out a 5 and said Its all I have one me... he walks out of the room and comes back in with the jacket and 4 dollars... LMAO... But the jacket is one from the old days. I cant wear it for very long.... gets too dang hot for me...Wife wears it more tha I do... Like how you changed the color to marty blue... shame they dont make these anymore

Yes, I am in the process of making the replica jacket.  I have the pattern and most of the correct material, I am still searching for a better match on the main red material.  I should have them for sale soon.

What about the silver ones form the original movie???

I had one of those for years ... finally wore all the silver off and hd to get rid of it

I like Virg's better, 'cause I am not the Bandit, and I like black better than red.

Something tells me you'd have to have a massive pile of greenbacks to even get Brett to consider letting a real one go.....  ;)

Well, I have seent he red ones sell before (only three in six years) and they averaged about $1,000.  So, double that and maybe I would consider it.

Brett IS Mr. Fancy Jacket...

I bet if one were to find one in not the greatest shape on the Internet for sale and then take it to a tailor....  I bet they could then cut all the stitched seams and then they would have all the fabric to lay out, measure & make patterns..
