I wouldn't pay that for it, but that is a super nice, low mileage car. They do bring a premium dollar though. I would guess he is about 5-6k high on that one. Man, those things are very, very, quick.

I would start with 29k if you are really serious and see what happens. All they can say is no.

These cars are neat but dang $36k is a LOT of money...even if you could get them down to $29K I think it is too high.  The super low milage cars are a challenge for me...I would almost HATE to drive it.  I would shop around and see what others are going for.  Are you buying it to drive and enjoy or put up on blocks and look at?

There are a couple on ebay now, here is one for $19K:

They are very quick, but geez, 36k for a third gen seems crazy. For that you could get one hell of a second Gen. If you really want that turbo T/A, that's fine, but it would seem there would have to be cheaper ones out there.

Thanks for the link.
That one is a bit worn out it appears though, the engine compartment leaves something to be desired, and has 79K on it . But you're right the price is right.

If you want the car go ahead and get it. I can tell you really like it. I see a few restored ones for around that, so I'm not necessarily saying it's a bad price, just way more than idpay. Look at what else is available for that kind of money though. http://volocars.com/1974-pontiac-trans-am-super-duty-c-1943.htm id take the super duty.

I like the color combo on it, but I wouldn't buy ANYTHING from Volo if my life depended on it.
I wouldn't be surprised if that was just a model moch up and not the actual car.

Kills me how people can never straighten the shaker up, especially someone that is trying to present the car very professionally and can't even do the simple things. This happens a lot, shows just how much attention they pay to things, it's the little things that matter to me. Amazing all the things they can do with photoshop on this car, but can't even do that. ::)

74 SD T/A's usually sell for a bit more than $40k- I would go over that T/A and check all of the numbers before even considering to make an offer on it. I can't tell from the engine bay pics if that engine is really an SD 455- if it isn't then the whole listing is an outright fraud.

The white deluxe seats in an otherwise red interior suggest a seat swap or incorrect seat cover choice- any white deluxe interior usually came with white interior door panels, headliner, rear arm rest panels, and sail panels. There are also few engine bay pics and no chassis pics- sure sign of a quickie repaint and interior redo. I'm sure the 74 SD experts out there can also pick this car apart and point out other red flags.

Here, maybe I did something helpful this time. Here are two from Texas that are a lot cheaper and seem nice. http://dallas.craigslist.org/dal/cto/3433210496.html
