I basically cleaned them up and put some chewing gum in there to fill the holes.  Just kidding.... I cleaned them up, welded in some new aluminum and then grinded it back down to match the surface.

 you can buy " Chemical metal " its like chewing gum except your not supposed to chew it, as it tastes FOWL !
