no its the old rubber.  the sand blast really cleans them up. make it look almost new.

hahahhaha... I'm in my 8th year but things are still good...no chills yet but my garage hasn't been built yet...lol

Old rubber eh!!!...it did clean up nice

went and watched the motor on the dino today.  looking good! only about 285hp  now he's going to pull the pan check the crank and bearings to make sure its all getting oil.  and going to put domed pistons in it and H beam rods.  I asked him about a 455 stroker kit. take it to about 400hp.  so it on hold until I tell him to get it done.

the block should be fine for that. what do you guys think?

Stroke it but up to 450hp.

I called a place today about a stroker kit. all he had was a 461 kit. @ 750hp max.  but told me with my heads, intake and Q-jet , cam ,2.5 exhaust.  it should be 450hp or better.  for 1350.00

I like the idea of all the hp, but don't want a big cam'd  beast.   and want it quieter then my 79.  cake and eat it to. I guess

Actually That isn't a bad price for a kit that gives around 750 hp...
