no...... not officially anyway.  There are some guys on Ebay that sell hood birds for $99.00 in most colors, but I have not purchased from them so I do not know the quality of them.  They may be ok to use on a display, but I do not know if I would use it on a car.

Are you thinking they may not look right or that they won't adhere correctly? If that's the case, what about clear coating over it?

My other options I guess would be to either paint it (or rather have it painted since that's way over my head) or have a sign shop cut it out of vinyl if I can find one to do something that large.

I'm not the clear coat expert, Larry, but I don't think it'd work very well.  The decal is going to expand/contract at a different rate that the metal hood.  Clear coat over that wouldn't hold up -- my guess is that it'd start cracking and/or peeling up in short order.  Just my guess from what I've read... :?

I don't know if they look right OR adhere correctly.  I have never purchased any of the ones that these guys make in thier own vynil shops.  They look ok in the photos on Ebay, but who knows what kind of quality you are really getting when they get delivered.  Yes, I could not clearcoat over them for the reasons above and also the vynil breathes and with having clearcoat over them, it will not work right.

Someone was having a sign shop make the Fire-Am hood birds some time back (TAC before the crash) but I don't know what the outcome was

No, it's wasn't Mike and I'm sure you recall Jason painted Mike's on anyway. I think it was a post from someone with NPD
