I've been a BMXer since the early 80's. Owned a large bike/skateboard shop called Rad Rob's in CT for 25 years. Rode trails, flatland, ramps, raced. I've owned so many different ones I can't even remember them all. I started selling off all my old BMX stuff when I realized I had enough used Hutch stuff to sell on Ebay when it took off to buy a complete Hotchkis suspension AND wheels/tires for my bird. Several years later my home was burglarized and all my complete old school bikes were stolen. Included in the bikes stolen were bikes built up on custom made frames from Cyclecraft, my S&Ms, Hoffman SD-4 etc. I figure the crooks got about 13,000.00 in bikes and probably didn't even know what they had.
I raced for about 18 years. Started late (mid 20's) so by the time I got fast I was too old to ever go pro. Lots of memories from hanging out riding and racing with all the big name guys back in the day. I got free bikes, frames etc. from Redline and other companies over the years but no paid travel or entry fees.
Came across this pic recently that was taken at our local dirt jumps known as "Sunnyside" back in the day. The jump was called "The Canyon" LOL and the rider is Mark Lincoln a good friend who also raced on my bike shop team and became an employee. The man has springs for legs! bunnyhopping full size garbage cans was my limit but he made them look like 5 gallon buckets.
I now have a Redline PL20 old school bike, it was a gift from a former employee who collected all the parts on the internet. He felt bad all my bikes were stolen and the ins co wouldn't pay. I'll take a pic later. If this thread keeps going I'll post some other pics of cool stuff.
