Hi from South Africa
« on: March 23, 2016, 05:21:23 AM »
Good day all,

I picked up this 1979 and plan on restoring it. The vehicle is fairly complete, but not all.
The original 400 motor was unfortunately dumped and replaced by a 350 chevy.

Getting parts to SA is very expensive, but I'll important what I can't make or find locally.

I'll be hanging around and asking questions from time to time as I go along.

Kudos, I have always wondered how many of these made it overseas. Can't be a common car in SA

How's the body on it?
Don't tell me you haven't heard. Everybody has.

I have no idea how many of them are around here. I saw one other advert for a complete car in my 6 month search and found one other body only in a junkyard.

This one, the body is complete. It looks fairly straight and accident free. It's got some rust on the roof joint on the back pillar and a few small dents and scratches.
