Thanks y88rick,

I will be posting pics soon. I've got a long way to go but the journey is what it's about, the destination is the reward. Anyone can drop a ton of money down on somebody else's sweat but then what? I'm seeing new Camaro's popping up all around here but I'm not wowed.  If a one off 69 rolled by, that would get my attention.

Check out the Camaro Ronald McDonald House out here is raffling off this year. Every year they  they raffle off beautiful rides.  http://www.ronald-mcdonaldhouse.org/specs.php

if you plan on keeping it , I would keep it bone stock ,  if your going to sell it.  every one knows a t/a will sell better then any of the other models.
keep in mind there is a lot of parts to change and add to it , cha ching, go's all your money for parts. and will you get it back on the sale of it.

RE: mike you got it all wrong. I will not be selling the firebird esprit as a trans am. I will clone it for my enjoyment to have and to admire it.If later i choose to sell it,the work will be told to the new owner,if i decide to sell her.

If that's the intent here.  It's the reason why they make "clones" in the first place to gain more money.

I don't think so.  People have customized cars to their liking since cars were first made.  Clones don't generally bring big money, and certainly nothing like the real deal would.  Lots of nice cars have been modified and are not original.  The only sin would be to not disclose that the car is not what it looks like.
The mis-used word "survivor" is more of a clone used for financial gain than bolt-on parts.

I went through the same thing Indian is talking about and finally decided to put the 70-73 front end on mine also.  I just like the look a lot better and I am not hacking anything, i can always bolt the orignal front end back on if I change my mind.  Just a matter of preference!
74 Formula 455 #'s matching.  Under reconstruction!
