Topic: 17x9 Snowflake wheels - anyone have them on a car?

I'm looking at wheels now.

I like the 17x9 Snowflakes for sale on YearOne. I have 17's on my Galaxie and Skylark, I think they improve ride/braking without looking TOO out of place.

Anyone use these wheels on their 'bird?

According to the specs, they are 7x9 with 4-7/8 backspace.

Would love to hear if people have used them and any rubbing or other issues?

I see that they recommend 275 45's... anyone tried wider big  tires on these rims on the back?..I too am curious..

I think anything bigger and they start rubbing and sticking out the side to much.

The only thing I didn't care for was the fact I could not find white letter tires in that size. Yes, I know that seems anal, but I like white letters. And yes I know you can paint them on, but all the stuff I ever tried turned yellow in 3 months.

Other then that I like the way the 17" looks on the birds.

I want to order a set of these.. but can't decide what color.. gold or black... my car is silver right now.. but that will probably change to black in a few years... would the silver car and gold rims go good together..?.. any input or suggestions?...

Maybe silver car, and silver rims? think silver would go ok with a black car as well
