Well let me tell you of a stupid idiot move I did!  I had a 1969 Mercury Marquies (sp?) and I ran out of gas.  Well, I called my brother and told him to get the gas can in the shed and bring it to me.  Here I go, pouring in about 5 gals. and then realized that I just put in kerosene!!!!!!!!  OMG, I thought the pistons were going to come through the hood!  Luckly no damage was done, but boy did it have some power for a short time!!
Now that is stupidy.  My brother and myself never really looked close at the can.   Our excuse was it was dark!!

Suck it up and take out your wallet ;D  It's only money.

The things you're complaining about are all maintenance items.  What happens, is when someone gets tired of their car or thinks they want to sell it, they quit doing maintenance.  The lucky guy that buys it has a lot of catching up to do.  I'm up to my neck in this stuff with the Y88 I bought a few weeks ago.  I get packages almost every day.  All parts for the car.  Expensive parts.
