AC boxes were bare fibreglass, which is this case was often a grey bown with fibre flecks. If good condition simply scrub it clean, perhaps a satin clear coat to keep it fresh. Most are damaged by now so patched up and painted black.
Dust shields were plated silver, almost a galvanized look.
