« on: November 23, 2008, 11:55:33 AM »
Are there any members that have or are building a rat rod or hot rod or any other old school cars?

I have a 50 dodge sedan and a 52 plymouth coupe. The 37 dodge truck is to rough to restore so I think we will rat rod it. We are wanting to chop the top but we have never choped before so we are a little nerves useing the sawzall.

Just make sure you measure all of the distances to chop it the exact same and in the same place all the way around.

Don't forget the bubble gum, paper clip, and gum wrapper.

I took my 1979 Bonnieville with 41K orginal miles and turned it into a hot rod. Its got the factory buick 350. So far I got new airshocks and chrome differential cover with new deep dish cragars and 10 inch rear tires. Next I put on 50 series flowmaster with trueduals and no cats. I also added some vintage pontiac decals and some other racing stough along with pontiac across the window and summit racing equiment, looks damn good. Its white with baby blue leather interrior and in mint condition. i hear all the time what kind of car is that. It looks modded but at the same time orginal included is the radio. I am going to take it up to the POCI show in dayton, cant miss this car  :)

Fireman033  The 80 T/A disc brake rear end fits in A 40 plymouth real good and easy, the width was perfect. Only thing that needed changed was the shock mounts.

Are you a fire fighter? If so,you would really like my 50 dodge. It was a local small town fire chief car. It has alittle over 11,000 miles and it is fire engine red. I have been a volunteer fire fighter for about 5 years.
