I also forgot a did some major upgrades over the winter. I had to swap out the headers and exhaust system. The old exhaust was3" tubing and I was running Dynomax headers with 1 7/7 primarys to 2" collectors.
I swapped in Hooker Supercomp 2 1/8 primary to 3 1/5 collectors to a complete 3 1/3 exhaust running Flowmaster Delta 40 Race mufflers.
The first pic shows the difference in the header size.

All installed. And yes I had to pull the motor to get the new ones in. The old ones just dropped out the bottom.

They do tuck up in there pretty good.

The mufflers to give you an idea of the size.

I had to run them up over the rear crossmember then dump them out in front of the tires.

I made the system in two pieces so it can be removed easily. I used v-clamps which work great.

Heres the exhaust mocked up.

Everything coat with HEI 2200 degree ceramic coating. Which by the way lasted 5 minutes. Next winter I will be sending them in to be Jethot coated.

All installed and done for now. I also cleaned up and repainted the whole bottom of the car before the exhaust went on.

Then lastly there was a whole lot of cutting going on.

The other winter project was adding power steering. I removed it for a 69 Camaro manual box to save on weight.
Now I have a 600 mini box with rack and pinon internals thats been powder coated.
I type two GM mini pump with external tank.
Since I'm driving it and it's not going to be just a race car anymore I figured I'd make it easyier to drive.

Wow. I havent seen this car on here before. This is one sweet ride. So what have you done with it as far as racing? I saw in one of your older posts you said it had 800+HP. is it still around there and what numbers have you run. IS this street legal?

Justin,

Yeah one of his vids shows him driving down the street with his daughter and I believe there are a few stills of that as well - way it should be :) So I'd say its street legal.

Good guy too as he'll share info if you want to build something similar.

Looks amazing Xtrme!
