The pair of T/A s in Cannonball (1976). They were two red '73 Trans Ams with the funky blue and yello stripes. Both met unfortunate ends, :(

It's great that someone remembers the 79 TA in Rocky II. I am a 'Philly" guy that bought one of the 3 used in the movie. I purchased this in Nov 79 from the car dealer where Rocky purchased the car in the movie. I put thed car away in 1984 and only had it on the road again the summer of 88. I have often thought of selling it but my son has convinced me to keep it.

It's a good story on how I acquired it after the movie was completed.

I'm erxcited to finally be apart of a TA forum !

You should get Sylvester Stallone to sign the visor or something. So is it an automatic or 4 speed? That question lingers

Rocky II TA
...answers to a few questions:

It is an automatic trans.
No T roofs
This is one of three used in the movie.
It was purchased from Adam Pontiac. The first two were sold.
There was no signature from Sly anywere on the vehichles. One of the TA's was in the news in the early 80's because the owner was able to get Sly to sign the title when he was in Atlantic city.
I heard an owner of one of these has posted a thread on another forum. I'am still looking for him/her. If you know this person, please hook me up.

Thanks

Wow that site is too cool, (reguardless if they made a few minor mistakes on the year, I know I don't care) I loved the Jason ALdean video "Johnny Cash'.  I liked that song before I saw the video, just made it even better when I seen that the pontiac was a T/A... too cool.  :)

Thanks for the info Solargold. It turns out is was me. The other forum did not have much activity and I lost interest.

I'll continue the search and hope the other two owners join this forum in the future.
