posting pics form photobucket, help sizing
« on: August 19, 2007, 03:55:47 AM »
Im getting really peeved off, ive spent two hours trying to upload some pics from my photo bucket file, they upload ok but they end up with half the photo chopped off  >:( >:(

Ive tried resizing them in the bucket file, no difference, ive tried resizing them in my own pc file and then up loading the smaller image to photobucket and using that, same sodding result, half the photo is missing.

Help please while I still have some hair left, what is it im doing wrong  :-\ :-\ ???

Did you use all the tools on Photobucket?
they have some full screen views and resize tools that
should work. What size are you making them?
Try to post a single picture first and see what happens.
Even if you are seeing them cut off.

Hi Tony
Ive tried resizing to both the web board and the email size in the edit section, both still seemed to large on my desk top PC screen.

Funny ting is some of them look ok on my laptop screen, i would think most folks are using a desk top with a 17" monitor or larger, mine is 17 and they look cut off  ???

Sounds like it's more a matter of your computer's display settings being off.

Right click on your desktop and click "Properties". Then click on the "Settings" tab in that window. See what your screen resolution is set at and try increasing it. You then might have to reset your desltop image to refit it to your screen.

I'm still using an old 15" monitor, but my resolution is 1024 x 768 so everything fits fine.

Hey guys -- the pics looked great to me!  The first couple were a little small, but the rest were just fine -- nothing cut off as to what I could see. :-\ :-\

Heya, bandit nz......I had the same problem when I put pics in the "cars for sale" section.  It kept chopping off about 1/3 of the right side of the pic.

Did anyone see the pics of my 78 for sale?  Did they look chopped off to you or is it my computer set up as stated by SirDragon?

The car has since been sold but was curious if I have the same issue.

Not trying to steal the thread, just had a similar problem.      ;)

The '78 Trans Am had some pictures chopped, at least on my computer.
