Well I discovered my problem, it was just a pinched fuel line, near the tank, replaced the  line and boom instant start up, and now I have a new fuel pump too =)

I had that problem ... now I've got a way-cool girlfriend that works at a job AND in the home + I picked up two more Trans Ams.

See, I could only afford one TA back when I was married ... those pesky credit card bills she kept handing me that were up to at least $10K every year.  Yeah, I don't have that problem anymore .... + I get nookie!

i will get a longer hose. just havent gotten to it yet and the naggin wife is complaining about the money ive been spending on two broke down firebirds

she wants me to sell the 74 to get an LS1 again, tempting but i put too much time in this one. I did the body work and painted it myself

i put an electric pump on it and it runs great. starts even easier now. but i do plan on taking the timing chain off to see what happened to the eccentric, I just need time to get it done

hmmm,  another one fixed with an electric pump.  ;)   if i were a betting man, & i'm not,  i would bet the farm that it was eccentric related.

glad to hear it's running again.

good to hear you figured it out....kinda sucks that was the problem but at least now you know.

i was pretty sure that was it,  like i said, i just saw 2 pontiacs do that recently.  the ratchet in the hole trick was the confirmation!
