also, thanks about the car.
It didn't miss a beat the whole trip, pretty good for having been sitting in the garage the whole winter and having the battery put back into it and started for the first time this year only two days before I left on this trip.

Round trip miles was 1448 and I was getting 18 MPGs even with the brisk pass we were setting on the interstates.

It's been a damn reliable car for the 29 years I have owned it.

The 403 has never been out of the car, but my plan is to rebuild it due to oil leaks and a much needed boost in horsepower.
It has full length headers and dual exhaust, open hood scoop and rejetted Q-jet, recurved distributor, double roller timing chain, (eat the OE plastic coated timing gear).
Stock TH-350 and a 2:56:1 LSD from my brothers 78 T/A, as my OE rear has been outfitted with 3:73:1 gears and I am waiting to use that with the 200-4r when I pull the engine.

Thanks,
Leon

  • That's not leaking oil, it's marking its territory
