detailing my 79 for the Nationals
« on: August 02, 2010, 07:03:39 PM »
after a year she got dirty. I was going to pull the motor but didnt. so I'm trying to clean spots that are a pain to get to .
and I added a few new things to add to the stock look.

I put in a charcoal canister and ran the lines.

added a wire loom , correct W72 anodized silver. and wire holders.

added a non-ac heater hose holder bracket.  (getting a new hose and correct hose clamps)

painted the words on the overflow cap, and painted the clamps on the drain tube.

still more to do like the hose and clamps,   a black distributor cap.  the (fan) sticker for the shroud. a 400 shroud.
a cover for the battery.

Didn't you win last year? Also, do the previous year's winners go to the winner's circle? Not sure how all this works that's why I'm asking.

Looking good by the way!

well I swaped out the am.fm.8 track  for my am.fm. cb  it work good.   I didnt know this but you can listen to the radio and the cb at the same time.  when someone comes across the cb the radio auto switches to cb.  kinda cool.

ya its a cap,   I did get a dash for it , about a month ago.   I plan on swapping it out before spring.
the cap is nice but its no true dash.
this cap is starting to pull up in the sun, so it has to go.
