all of them untill 1980 had a 13 digit vin, the thing is that nobody kept track of accidents, damage, or history of the car with the vin numbers, and in 1981 when it got changed to the longer 17 ? digit vin odometers were being tracked, accidents, thefts, etc.....so nothing special, its just that theres almost nothing at all

Carfax only works with 17 digit VIN numbers so anything before 1981 wont work.
