Not really. The control knob is part of the pull cables that are crimped around it and will likely break if attempted.
Depending on the hole size in the mirror base you can withdraw the entire unit and swap but it includes the mirror glass. Not all mirrors can be done like this as they were assembled after threading through the mirror heads. You could try heating the knob slightly to rebend, less chance than bending cold.
That may also decide your next move. Just as easily, unscrew the mirror from its base and look inside. If there is a large hole around the cable through both the support and the head then it can be withdrawn, if only a small clearance around the cable through just the head, it can't be.
