Topic: 160 mph vs 100 mph gauges

I'm curious about the 160 and 100 mph gauges, and the models they came in.  Did the standard TA have with a 100 mph, while the W72 have a 160 mph gauge?

Nothing to do with output, changed back to 100mph roughly '75.

Thanks, that's what I thought earlier.  Guess I saw a couple of photographs of 77 upward TA's that had 160 mph speedometers that got me curious-must've been aftermarket.

Sometimes people swap in the earlier 160mph speedo to their later model 2nd gen

One of those mandated safety things, the kids will drive slower if speedo reads less!
