Alternator question

i replaced the starter cable on my ta i spliced the connection between the battery and the alternator. the car starts fine and the gauge slowly goes to 15 volts. afer a few seconds the choke light start to flash. if I turn on the  lights or hit the brakes or put on the turn signal the light goes out. help me please!!!

which wire did you splice into the ignition switched wire or the battery hot wire?

the one that goes from battery + to alternator lug.

oh, replaced + battery cable to strater (big lug).

well if im reading it right your running a smaller wire to your starter now ? if so thats bad....id take it back to the battery..

Believe it or not. I took the alt to get tested and it tested good. I bought a new one anyways due to the age of the alteranator. the light does not come on .. Fixed..
