I spoke with the guy last night.  I can't look at it until sometime next week because it's still at the auto shop waiting new exhaust and the shop is closed until Tuesday.

Na, don't worry about it.  It's actually nice to see so many people that share the love of these firebirds like I do.  In my family, I'm nuts because everyone else likes Corvettes, Chevelles and other run of the mill cars.

I am getting closer in pulling the trigger I believe.  My 12 year old son just said "are you going to get another trans am?  I really like going to some of those car shows."  How do you say no to that???  Only issue is that I don't want to tie up money but I think I have a plan.  My wife and I are going to open up a bakery.  We've got just about everything bought and ready to go.  I can take a note out for the bizz but use the TA as collateral.  This way we'll have the money we need for both the bizz start up and also the car.  Plus, I will be able to write off the note as a business expense

OK.  Here's some pics of the car.  The worst part is the poor repair job on the dash pad.  I drove it and it seemed pretty tight and road very well.  I think with a good paint job (which shouldn't be too bad since there's no rust), decals, and rubber it'll be a nice weekend cruiser.  What do you guys think?  Is this worth saving???

It looks nice. I'd drive it the way it is if i had the opportunity lol. As rust free as it is it should make an easy restoration.

Na, I'd have to at least get it painted right away and stick some new decals on there.  Yes, it's EXTREMELY solid though.  Car had been sitting in the exact same place as when I last looked at it (about 10 days).  One pump of the pedal and it fired up very quickly and idled great.  I let it warm up before driving.  The only issue it seemed to have was a slight hesitation when you punched it

I'd say pick it up. Don't see them that solid very often. All original at that.

Well, he countered lower than my offer after I let him know I was looking at another bird!!!!  So, if things go OK I should probably be bringing it home this week.  I will keep you posted if I do.
