I have a 76 TA and want to mount a 77-78 front bumper to it. What brackets do I need to attach the bumper support to the subframe? I did notice the 76 upper nose support is similar to the 77-78- is it the same?
Thanks for your help.

The front bumper brackets look similar but the bolts holes are spaced differently.

I believe the 76 front fenders also include a bracket that won't be needed (and is actually in the way) when you convert to a 77/78 nose ;)
Drill out a couple spot welds and the brackets will pop off. Save those brackets if you plan on converting back to a 76 nose. Or toss them up on ebay as I'm sure someone will need the pair...

Thanks for the replies- does the bumper reinforcement bolt directly to the subframe, or are there brackets that extend out to support it? Anyone have a schematic that shows how all the parts bolt up?

The bumper brackets bolt to the subframe horns, same as other years...the difference is in the brackets themselves with the bumper attachment bolt holes being spaced differently on '76 vs '77+
I'll try to find a pic

Thank you sir- I see I have some parts to gather. I take it the bumper extensions are unique to the 77-78 model?

Could anyone email me a complete front bumper assembly to the 77/78 front bumper please!? ;D

It's above. Do you need extra to that? It's in the 76-81 Parts manual also.
