this guy is funny, he swares he has a 1 of a kind 403 olds factory 4spd. I did forget that his post on C.L. did not say the vin was a k9 sorry my bad.

What's the fifth digit of the VIN? If it is a Z it could be (would have been) an original 4 speed. They had some 301 4 speeds in 79 as well, those were even more rare.

my bad i messed up my post ? dude says its a true 403 olds,4spd HA ok.
-
ad says 400 motor
-
I know when i called and got the vin # from him it came up as a k9 wich is 403 olds.the ad says its a 73 400 motor your are correct.
-
Well if its an original 403 car, then no, it couldn't be a factory 4 speed. But someone could've added a new transmission
