Topic: went to a local show tonight and FINALLY saw a 2nd gen!!

I went to my local cruise in tonight, and for the first time in three years I saw a 2nd gen Firebird there! A beautiful 1977 400 4-speed SE with a red, yes RED interior!

At first I thought it might be a clone, but then the owner showed up and said it was a real SE and was custom ordered by the previous (original) owner with a red interior. A very nice, all original car (one repaint back in 87, and the motor rebuilt then too). He didn't say he had the build sheet or PHS, but he did say he has the original window sticker. I can't imagine there's too many of these out there!

He asked me if I knew what year it was, and I said yes, a 77. I told him I could tell by the grills and also the short shaker (he looked at me like I had two heads when I mentioned the short shaker!)

Thanks for the pic, but my honest opinion, apart from the possible rarity value, i really dont like the Red....... i think Eroc hit the nail on the head here!

I am not down with the red interior, but I still think it's a damn cool car.  It would be kind of nice to drive what's probably a one of a kind car, though.

But a rare SE indeed seen one other online, but that had an automatic
