Title: wanted - Bandit Trans Am
Post by: barney3012 on December 02, 2017, 06:05:29 AM
Hi

I am here in the UK and I would like to buy and then import a 78/79 bandit Trans Am. Looking for the closest I  can find to the Bandit style and so Black, 6.6,V8 with honeycomb wheels. Would prefer a manual (we all have manuals over here) but automatic could work. Not looking show quality but also not looking for a project. A solid good looking car.
Please email me if you have something you think might work.

Thanks
Mike

A few things, most are autos by these years and you'll pay much more for a manual which also usually meant the more sought after engine option to get the manual. By these years the wheels were snowflakes, not honeycombs, but that's probably what you meant anyway. you can save a lot of money if only wanting a regular black TA with decals rather than a genuine SE. Likewise, the smaller engine options but you've already listed 6.6

I know your looking for the older body style t/a, but I thought outgrow this out there. I have an 82 t/a bandit #99 built by trans am specialties in cherry hill nj for the Smokey and the bandit movie, this vehicle is in good condition inside and out and runs very strong, it is a 5 sod manual, has the Recaro  interior and has alot of documented history, its one of very few left in existence, if your interested in more info let me know, I have picks, videos and documentation, thanks
