Mine was a 1966 Chevy Impala.  Inherited it (my dad kept it licensed in his name for insurance purposes) with 110,000 miles on the clock, a clapped out 250 CID 6 cylinder, and two busted rear springs plus a ton of rust.  I had to learn automotive body work and repairs just to keep it ticking.

1969 Chevelle SS with a 396......Royal blue, aluminum pop up pistons, the works.....totaled it on a pair of telephone poles doing 80 mph in freezing rain......the trunk was fiberglassed on which became unattached due to the wreck.  Drove it home, 2 blocks away, with the trunk dragging, and a nice pole sized dent at the driver side door.
I walked away, and wasn't using a seatbelt at the time.
Some one up there loves me !!!!!!

Mine was a 1972 Chevy pickup.   I spent as much time working on it as I did driving it.  In 1985 I sold it to a guy in Kansas for $500, minus the engine and trans.  The body was solid though.

My first car was a 1979 Pontiac Bonneville 4 door, with a 301.
I was only 7 when my parents bought it new, and I remember starring at a new 79 Trans Am on the lot, and trying to convince my dad to buy it instead. But of course we needed a "family car"
Just as well, by the time I got the Bonneville (nine years later) It was on its second engine, and rather rusty!
