Rear caliper bolts
« on: January 14, 2007, 03:45:32 PM »
I am converting my 78 to rear disc, and scored a complete setup, but was missing two of the bolts that hold the caliper to the backing plate. Maybe I am looking in the wrong place, but it seems none of the resto catalogs list one. I went to Advance Auto yesterday, and they have one listed, at $21 each! Is this right? Is there a source for these or am I screwed. Thanks for any help.

I'd hit the bone yard if I was you. I had to buy caliper bolts for a Caravan I was working on once and they were pricey..I didn't realize ours would be though....who knows.

Try Auto Zone instead. I've bought some there before and were only $3 or $4 each from what I remember. Definitely do not spend $21 each! :D

I just looked them up on AutoZone. They're a little more than I remembered but not too bad at $7.99 each. Part #H5004

Sweet. Thanks for the help on this. I always forget about auto zone since there aren't many around me. Worth the trip though if they have what I need.
