Ok...so here's some good news.  I've finally found myself a place to live  and I was able to get the car towed to a better shop today.  This guy is going to give it a serious once over and let me know the diagnosis.  Now I just need to pick up another job or start pedaling art commissions again so I can get the work done.  Yay!!!!!!!!!

Congrats on the living accomodations! Nice to hear you'll get another opinion on the car as well.

Hey all.  I've been doing the phantom thing around here and figured I'd finally give you all the news.  I had to sell the trans am.  No funds, no place for storing it, and this looming feeling that I'm going to lose my job.  It sucked, but I have faith I'll get my hands on one again...hopefully with more knowledge next time.  Still need to sell the foose wheels so hopefully some of the money from that can start my savings toward another one down the line. I'll still be drifting around but wanted to say thanks for all the input and what not...greatly appreciated.

You did the right thing.  These cars require copious amounts of cash to keep them running.  They require big bucks to bring one from the condition of yours to a nice daily driver condition.  Get on your feet and take care of your personal situation first, then think about toys.  Toys are fun though.

I think you made the rational decision.  Good luck with the job and let us know how things are going! ;)
