States ...

There are a bunch of Ohio boys on here - you're all pretty close to one another.  Good camaraderie.

How about at least a regional section to show who/what/where things are going on for people elsewhere?  Might be a way to meet new enthusiasts.

I am considering it... not too sure on how to break it down.  I sure don't want 50+ separate boards for all of the states, then Canada, then UM, then Australia, then..... and so on, and so on.

Regional might be better then ...

Here's a starting point;
http://www.census.gov/geo/www/us_regdiv.pdf

Everthing north of Kentucky & Virginia could be moved to the "East" MidWest.  More logical in my mind.

We all know that most of the people here are in Ohio, so it would be nice for the rest of us to find others nearby. I have yet to find anyone here from my area besides MrPontiac80 who is a few hours away still. I've seen this thing before where everyone has a little pin that is stuck down where they are so you get a feel of where everyone is... Anything would be cool to help us out in finding others near us.

UM, UK, UL, UG... whatever.....

Yeah, there was another program ut there that could do the little pin thing.  It is something seprate and can be done by anyone.  If anyone has suggestions about how to break up the US and also other countries.. I am open to suggestions.

States:

confusion
denial
shock

Countries:

South of the Mason-Dixon
Everywhere else

Those have worked well for me my entire life.

I think Frapper was the map site with the pins.

How about something like this? They can be broken down further depending on how many regions you want. I think I got all the states.

Region 1 (CT, MA, ME, NH, RI, VT,)

Region 2 (OH, MD, PA, WV, NY)

Region 3 (DC, DE, NJ)

Region 4 (AL, FL, GA, MS, SC,)

Region 5 (VA, KY, TN, NC)

Region 6 (IL, IN, MI, MN, WI)

Region 7 (AR, LA, NM, OK, TX)

Region 8 (IA, KS, MO, NE)

Region 9 (CO, MT, ND, SD, UT, WY)

Region 10 (AZ, CA, HI, NV)

Region 11 (AK, ID, OR, WA)

Plus, other countries...not sure how to group them. UK, Europe, Canada, ect. ??
