i un bolted it pushed it in the whole way ,but when i put the bolts in it sucks it out at least a 1/4 inch? could this have anything to do with the new crank? i read online that it may have to do with the crank pulling it out to far they said to put washers between the converter and plate? should i try this?

Did you start the engine with the converter unbolted? I'm still thinking you have balancer/crank problems. Just never heard of the TC causing vibrations that badly.

Well if the converter is seated we've established that you cannot stick your finger in between the TC and transmission housing. You said you cannot on yours. The next thing is to rule out a vacuum leak or timing issue with the engine. How does it rev up when you give it gas? If no timing/vacuum issues I'd swap harmonic balancers? Did you say the machine shop balanced your bottom end? Did you take them the balancer and flywheel?

i put a new barancer on from summit , dont know if they balanced the bottom end, and i did not give them the flex plate, i seperated the trans from engine, still viberates not as bad though, the flex plate looks like it has a little wobble to? maybe i bent it?
