Title: "Vacuum Tree"
Post by: gotsmoke? on March 18, 2008, 10:44:25 AM
Do any of you guys have a pic of the vacuum tree/port that goes on the back of the carb.  This is for a 79 400 4spd.  I think a have located one but want to make sure.  I know I can get one that will work from an autopparts store, but I want to find a correct one if possible.

I don't think they changed much from year to year.

This is 1981, but it's typical...

That 81 T looks just like my 76 T.

What Joe shows is indeed typical, but some years had bigger ones -- depending on what all was connected.  You probably should dig through the service manual to find out how many taps you'll need so you don't either run short or have too many that need to be blocked off because they're not used. :-\
