Glad you got it worked out!
And I'll be up in Clayton over Memorial Day so if you wanna hand just let me know. Of course, I'll need to bring along the kids and the g/f

Ha, when's Memorial Day?
I'm looking to get ahold of a good 400 block, short or long... doesn't matter, having a hard time trying to find a good parts area around here for old t/a's

FYI: All Pontiac blocks - 301/400/455 - are the exact same external dimensions so there is no short/long block
(I believe the 428's are too but I have no experience with them.)
If you find one in my neck of the woods I'd be willing to bring it up that weekend. Just needs to be a clean block...I'm bringing up everyone and everything that comes with a couple 14yr old girls, a 4yr old boy, my g/f and myself

I meant short block or long block as in.... short block being just the block or long block being everything with the heads and valve cover... i know pontiac motors are the same dimensions, this ain't my first rodeo

Yeah, I knew what you meant. Unfortunately 400 blocks in either state of assembly are becoming rarer these days...
