Voltage gauge
« on: February 14, 2007, 07:03:56 PM »
Is there more than one type of voltage gauge that came with the trans am?  The gauge that's in the Y88 is different than the one in my other 78'.  Could the one in the Y88 be an after market gauge?  thanks   Wheels

I'll take some pics and put'em on here...maybe Brett has seen this type.  I haven't taken the dash bezel out to see if it's something rigged or if it has an exact fit like the original.. or was it a special type of gauge for the Y88? Sounds like a project to do on Thusday before the trip to the dentist. :x  :P

After further disassembly, I found that the gauge is aftermarket....the previous owner installed it as if it belonged there...fits real nice...and spliced the wires using the small blue splice connectors....however---it will be replaced with the right gauge...and as far as pictures?   I don't know how to put pictures on here.  Maybe my son knows how.
