Bell housing has a ground strap on the 400 - passenger side.

Yeah, you can use the bell housing or a bolt hole in the back of either head. In my oppinion it's best to have a good solid ground on the corner closest to the starter.

Bell housing has a ground strap on the 400 - passenger side.

That's called the "redundant" ground and it's the one most generally neglected when the engine gets pulled/replaced.  Most of the time the battery/block connection lets the starter turn, so folks figure they're good to go and this cable gets tossed along with all the other "extra" parts that were left over. :-\

Mine hooks to the body down near the front subframe to unibody mount.  This is on the passenger side.

The one on the rear of the RH cylinder head goes to the firewall.

There are TWO connections being talked about here.  Jeff is correct in that there is a copper strap from the rear of the passenger side head to the firewall.  Matt is correct in that there is another big honking cable (battery cable size) from the bellhousing to the body right behind the subframe bushing behind the passenger wheel.  Both should be there to insure proper grounding. :-\
