It is a 403. I'll see if I can get the guy to chime in. I know they spent a lot of time with Mondello on this. The owner wanted to have something different and if you look at the car you'd never know a conversion was done. This car was in a basement for many year. I'm going down to check the collection out in a few weeks. I'll take a bunch of pictures of it.

Found another 403 4-spd T\A for sale. It's not brown but .... http://www.hemmings.com/classifieds/carsforsale/pontiac/trans_am/1195905.html
"79 Trans Am tenth Anniversary Edition"
"81 Turbo Trans Am"
Sad to see that people part out T\A's :( especially saveable ones

I spotted this one in Atlanta today!  79 Heritage Brown 403 TA.  Looked mostly original,(build sheet was in car) couple of little things,(T-A 6.6) but seemed to be solid.  With a little work could be very nice.  Looks like it was in the 09 Bandit Run :)

I think the sticker was $13,900. It was at Corvette World just by spaghetti junction on I85.

Looks like a nice car, but it seems like the color doesn't quite match Heritage brown.

Sorry to do this... but it's no longer sporting the brentwood... it'll always be brown at heart and for the rest of the brown birds out there, I figured I'd helped make yours stand out a little more with one less brown bird out there trying to hog the light... ;D ;D ;D
