Nice car. I like that color combination. What engine is in it? A 400?
-

I really like this T/A !! I think you really scored with this 79 . I like the blue to ,look's great
If you really get bored ,maybe clean up the garage a bit to lol

I gotta say I love the way the dark blue goes with the gold

How about a bit smaller? ;)
-
perfect ...........now how the crap did you do that? i would love to share all of my pics as they are only in the gallery section but still.
-
so do you guys think i should have the worn out spots repainted or touched up or leave it alone as it is the original paint?
-
I say retouch it. Nobody really appreciates original paint, contrary to what you'd think. The factory paint jobs were crap plus now it's 30 years old. Trust me on that. ;)
-
nice 79. same color as mine, except you have gold decals, and gold snowflakes. :)
nocturn blue with the tan interior is awesome ;D
-
thats what i say and thats what my brother also says....his words were this, you do damn good paint work. fix the one whole door ding it has and repaint it and redecale it no matter how many miles it has the thing will look drop dead georgeous then. but my uncle and his buddy say do not touch a thing as people will think you have bondo hiding everywhere if you repaint it.
-
no way i dont care what the paint code says people say its midnight blue lol too funny. i think its a cool combo though i wish it were marty blue instead.

meh, nocturn blue is better lol from what i've noticed, its even less of a common color than marty blue. possibly one of the most uncommon colors they came in. i almost never see a nocturn blue T/A except when i go in my garage LOL
-
yeah im getting double vision. i got to my garage see one then see one at a friend of mine's and then yours but out of the 3 mine is the only one with the gold bird looks good but i think in person i'd rather see blue on blue? maybe not but atleast it doesnt have a red hood bird lol

i have only seen one nocturn blue with a gold bird in person. and personly in my opinion, i dont like it. i think it kinda clashes. i personally like the blue decals better on nocturn blue. if you want, check out more pics of my car so you can get an idea of what it looks like with that color/decal combination. i think i'm on page 9 of the photo gallery here. under the name Helter80

The factory paint jobs were crap...especially Van Nuys cars. But I would rather keep the car with the factory paint as long as possible. I think the look of a well worn paint job is terrific. It gives the car character. I saw a Model A collection about 30 years ago. The guy had a big metal building crammed with Model A's. Most of them had the original paint. He liked the look of an old paint job. I guess that impressed me too.

I think the blue you have look's way nicer than Marty would considering the gold appointments . The gold interior is not my first choice ,but it look's great with that body color .
I can't believe people say don't paint it ? An awesome T/A like that deserves a new coat of paint . Keep it the original color for sure ,and a full repaint . I like the gold bird more than the blue bird on that dark color to tell you the truth ,but each to his own
-
i disagree maybe you should take it

-
thanks i think you guys are just saying this to be nice.
-
I think we're saying it cause it's true. Noc Blue 4-speed low-mileage t-top T/A. What's not to like?
-
Great score Rick, that thing is looking good, I'd certainly take her out to dinner ;)
-
Yep, that's a great color combo... one of my favs. Cool car!!!!!!
-
hmmm, perhaps our nocturn blue with camel tan interior will be the next "hot" color combination??? LOL ;)
-
Very nice grab Rick. Try and keep the original paint. I also think it gives the car character. It really looks like the car is in great shape. Good luck with the new ride.
-
thanks guys
helter maybe so lol perhaps we can make everyone believe they are the coolest out of the the 2nd gens built ever lol
