1981 TransAm "Limited Edition"
« on: October 30, 2011, 03:54:25 PM »
Was there ever a "Limited Edition" for the 1981 TransAm?

If so, what "bells and whistles" made it so...?

"Limited Edition" is on the door handles and a placard on the console in front of the shifter.

I suspect they were added but do not want to assume anything...

Thanks in advance...

There was no "Limited Edition" in 1981, the only true Limited Edition was in 1976 with the Black and Gold cars. So what you have on your car was just added by a previous owner or a Dealer. Back then you could go to auto stores and buy aftermarket items like that.
