well i started to pull the engine back out today due to the slight knock ??? >:( :'(   one nice thing though is that its spotless im almost ready to pull and havent washed my hands yet!

That is a good deal on some caps that look to be in nice shape.

Speaking of sweet deals on Ebay, I recently picked up a pair of NOS t-top covers, dated 79, never used, new inside and out, so no stains on the white part, for $60 delivered. I couldn't believe the guy had a buy-it-now of $50  :o . I was the 3rd viewer and didn't hesitate to buy  ;D . I was afraid it was going to be a "too good to be true" thing, but I got them and they are the real deal.

Glad you're making progress on fixing your engine.

yea thought to good to be true also but when they got here they look new no dings at all one bird was a lil bit faded but easliy replaced ,  im taking it slow removing my engine it would be terible if i scratched that new paint!

thanks i just took the engine back out today to get rebuilt since somthing went wrong

whats going on with your build? is the engine back in yet? how much further have you gotten? keep posting dude, this is the best build/restoration on the entire site in my opinion.

not much happening i have been getting ready for winter, motor still on stand short on funds, so it will get rebuilt with some of my income tax return , so as of now the car is in the back corner of the garage covered with blankets, and im glad you enjoy the post of my restoration! thanks

picked my engine up from  machine shop today :)  was a great morning but then i hit some ice on the way home and wrecked my truck! my new engine almost came through the back luckly the strap held and it just fell over  now my truck steers funny have to fix that now any ways here are some pics!
