« on: May 29, 2009, 10:58:02 AM »
Hey all,   Here is the intro to this page...  http://www.78ta.com/smf/index.php?topic=15955.new#new

Here are some shots of the interior job happening for Kevin's car.   Basiclly stock, and a nice driver quality.   Just thought Id post pics of some progress so Kevin can feel good knowing things are happening along the way.   I just got the car last evening, so here are the before pics.

I have that board under mine and it just stays there.   But yes...  if you must know ;)  mine has a bad power steering pump.  I need to change it out, but frankly Ive been lazy about it. :D

Sorry man,  I really can't say.   I know mine has lots of play in the steering and I think I need a few of the arms in the linkage.   My resivour leaks though.

Kevin..   I am going to call you but here are the pics I need you to see.

The awl is pointing to a repair I made in the carpet.   I'll talk to you about it on the phone, but want you to see this.

Alright Kevin,  Were making headway now.

Got the package tray installed and I went ahead and added the insulation under it too.

Also COMPLETELY reworked your headliner board.   Lets just say it looked like it was someones door mat for a couple months. :D   The ABS repos are nice but too much money when we can fix this one.  So I cleaned yours up with a DA and then got some of my panel board that I use to make door panels and package trays with.   I basicly added a layer of skin to your board.  I had to scar the board so that it bends in the proper places and etc.   But the out come is a solid board that is now very firm and should not sag.  Also, the new perforated vinyl went on great with the new smooth surface.  You can see the thickness in one of the lower pics next to a razor blade.    Time to go get my kids from school....  more later.

Did you make the package tray at the back or did you purchase that somewhere.  Looks really simple but has a nice look to it.

I bought it a while ago from classic industries.

Mike: Awesome job so far man, that headiner looks perfect. How do speakers work with my package tray setup?
